33 wk Ob appt

On Friday I had an OB appt. I was 33.5 weeks. Everything looked great! She said this baby is going to be tall... pretty safe assumption being that it's parents are giants! I had a 5 lb weight gain, which didn't seem to be an issue. I have had some swelling in my hands which has led to my rings officially not fitting anymore :(. My BP was great 114/72. Baby's heartrate was steady and healthy sounding. She checked to make sure I wasn't starting to show signs of preterm labor and I am not.. Thank you Lord! She asked me again if we were having a girl, I told her we don't know and want the surprise... makes us wonder if that's her educated guess? We will be happy either way! We would love to have a little brother for Nate to play and wrestle with but we would also love to have a little girl to dress up. So I guess we will wait and see! We have essentially finished getting the nursery ready for baby number 2. I just have to put bedding back on the crib and we are set. I turn 34 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday). My next appt is next Thurs (4/29) I will be 35.5 weeks. After that I start weekly visits! Pretty exciting! Nathan has learned to imitate all our words. He is also saying some two word sentences like... all gone, all done, Mommy's toes. He has learned to say some new words too... careful, Chevy (heffy), Scout (dout or tout), brother , sister, help, home (howm), grape (lol he started calling them "beepkeys" but now sounds more like grapeys), kiwi (ka-wee-wee), pear (poo), pizza, onion, shoes (shoosh). He also says the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,9. To top it all off, if you ask him how old he is he will say one and hold up one finger! He is such a sweet little guy. He will go to the dishwasher, washer or dryer, or stove and ask to "help". He is going to be fun when the baby comes! Nathan has been sleeping very well in his full size mattress. We expected him to sleep on the floor at first, but he stays in his bed all night! He tries to climb onto the top twin size bunk... but he can only do that when daddy helps him. We have moved everything of his into his big boy room and have finished putting it together except for the new closet doors. Ryan had a busy weekend. He started to cut down our tree in the backyard that the ice storm two winters ago damaged. He also had a bball game (where he dunked!) and also sprained his ankle in. Nathan loved watching his daddy play! I will post the next update in a couple weeks!
