The weekend before Easter we made the trip to the U.P. of Michigan to visit my grandmother. She is now living in a nursing home after a battle with pneumonia left her with significant Alzheimer's/dementia and general weakness. This is the first time Nathan was able to meet his great grandmother Erickson. It was a short visit but we were thankful for the time we had with her.

She didn't really remember us but she loved talking with Nathan. He would grab her hand and turn it palm side up to give her high fives. One time he sat down right next to her and looked over and said "hi." It was so sweet and innocent. He wasn't shy around her at all.
