Feed My Starving Children

Our church hosted Feed My Starving Children for the second year. It's an organization that provides meals for children throughout the world. The goal of our church was to pack enough food for 100,000 meals. To do so, we had four two hour shifts of appx 150 people. We had stations where we packed chicken powder, dried veggies, soy, and rice and the sealed them air tight. Each of these bags can make 6 meals. Each station would call out some sort of joyful chant when they filled each box of 36 bags. Our session alone packed enough for 34,344 meals. Our church was able to pack enough food for 206,000 meals in a total of 8 hrs! Our goal for next year is 400,000! It was a lot of fun and Ryan and I hope to do it again!

My friend and co-worker Megan and her family packed with us
Gotta love hair nets!
We were all at a station together, our husbands worked in the "warehouse" area which required heavy lifting
